The GARIA CULTURAL ASSESSMENT CENTRE (GCAC) is one of the premier Assessment Board working in the field of cultural education. Established in 2020, it functions as an autonomous organization under registration of Societies Act. 1961. In the philosophical core of the GCAC lies a commitment to emotional and spiritual development of the different cultural centres of India particularly those who run their cultural centre with different aspects of cultural education. To this end the GCAC conducts Assessment of cultural education like Vocal Song, Dance, Painting, Recitation, Drama, Instrumental music etc. with cultural knowledge and understanding as conducive to clarity, creativity, independence of thought, tolerance and compassion. Besides creating special privileges for the physically and mentally challenged candidates.

The GCAC has its office in Kolkata to facilitate the widespread dissemination of Indian art and culture. The GCAC revitalizes the cultural education system by creating an understanding and awareness among cultural centres, teachers, students and educational administrators about the plurality of the regional cultures of India and integrating this knowledge, besides creating special privileges for the physically and mentally challenged artists.

The importance of in-service teachers training was also stressed. It is felt that change in educational system can only be brought about if the teachers have been trained and prepared to understand and recognise the need for a change in the methodologies of teaching.
